Criminals riddled a ward councillor with bullets in Hajipur, killing him on the spot. The deceased was Pankaj Rai, son of Chandrika Rai, a resident of ward number 5 of Hajipur Municipal Council. Ward councillor Pankaj Rai was sitting at a cloth shop near his house. Then three criminals riding a bike reached there and started firing at him. Before the ward councillor could understand anything, the ward councillor had been shot with about 3 bullets. The ward councillor fell down as soon as he was shot. There was a stampede as soon as the shots were fired. The criminals fled from there after committing the crime. The people nearby rushed him to the hospital, where the doctor declared him dead.
