A husband shot his newly married wife in the head during the floods in Patna. The woman’s condition is critical. Regarding the incident, family members say that on Monday night the husband had reached his in-laws’ house to bid farewell to his wife. Family members told that just a month ago they had given birth to a baby girl after a major operation. Because of this, the family members were refusing to bid farewell to their daughter for a few days. Angered by this, the husband shot his wife on Tuesday morning and then fled from there. The woman has been identified as Sindhu Kumari (22), wife of Chandan Kumar.
Married due to pressure from family and greed for money
Sindhu’s family members say that Chandan and his family members used to beat her. Sindhu Kumari’s sister-in-law told that Chandan did not like his wife Sindhu Kumari since their marriage. Chandan said that he got married due to pressure from his family and greed for money. Family members allege that Chandan used to threaten to kill Sindhu Kumari. Even when he reached his in-laws’ house on Monday night, he started fighting with all the in-laws. At night, when everyone slept, Chandan locked everyone’s door from outside and shot his wife, who was sleeping in the room, in the head. After committing the incident, Chandan fled from there through the street.
The wedding took place a month ago
Family members told that just a month ago Sindhu Kumari had given birth to a daughter through a major operation. After this, the family members felt that Lakshmi has come to the house, now the dispute between Sindhu Kumari and Chandan will end forever, but perhaps no one knew what was going on in Chandan’s mind.
