Bihar Police was not able to solve the case of kidnapping of a young man. The brainstorming continued, but no clue was found. The mystery of whose kidnapping was unsolved, after some time information about the disappearance of his friend of the same age also came to light. There was nothing black in the dal, the entire dal started appearing black. But, the wires were not connecting. Then a news from Nepal brought a twist to the story. The person who committed three murders with two hands within 25 days has been caught.
Starting with kidnapping on 23rd October
This story started on 23 October 2023 in Motihari of East Champaran district and now on 02 January 2024, Sadar ASP Raj put an end to it and showed the arrest of the main accused Akhilesh Bhagat. An FIR regarding the disappearance of 22-year-old Ritesh was lodged on October 23 at Sugauli police station in the district. The family members accused Ritesh’s friend Rishabh and his 30-year-old girlfriend Asmita alias Sanju of kidnapping. After this statement of Ritesh’s father, the police started investigation, but these two could not be traced. Despite a thorough search in the district, the police were empty handed. More than twenty days passed, but even reaching Rishabh seemed far away. Then there was a new twist in the story.
The address found on the bag brought a twist
To the northwest of Bihar is East Champaran and adjacent to it is East Champaran. East Champaran is also adjacent to Nepal. Sugauli is an hour and a half away from Nepal. Two dead bodies were found in two different sacks in Chitwan, Nepal. In one, there was the dead body of a married woman and in the other, the body of a young man. The scope for identification was so wide that the police found a bag during its investigation. The address of ‘Sugauli’ was written on it. Chitwan Police of Nepal contacted Sugauli Police of East Champaran. The search for the two wanted in the kidnapping case was completed with this one twist. After this, Motihari police once again started investigating with new energy and the entire matter came to light. It was revealed that the entire conspiracy belonged to Sanju’s husband Akhilesh Bhagat.
The killer revealed the scandal
When his wife’s dead body was found, the police detained Akhilesh. At first he denied the matter, but when forced to do so he broke down. Akhilesh, a resident of Sugab of Sugauli police station area, said – “I was married to Sanju in the year 2013. After marriage, I had two children. Five-six years ago, I had gone to my maternal uncle’s house in Phulwaria of Sugauli police station area. There Rishabh and I became friends with Ritesh. Both of them were already friends. We were young, but we got along well. We started visiting home. Meanwhile, I did not know when both of them had illicit relations with my wife. One One day, wife Sanju told that Ritesh was torturing her. Rishabh also agreed. After this, I, my wife Sanju, along with Rishabh and a young man named Vinay, made a plan. After this, on 23rd October, Ritesh was thrown out of the house. Called him and brought him to Motihari camp and strangulated him to death with a towel. Then he tied him in a gunny bag and took him in a cab to Vinay’s house in Gopalpur of Kesariya police station and buried him in the soil. The next day we all returned to our respective homes. Reached. Within a week of the incident, my wife went to Nepal. I went to Nepal in search of her and saw that Sanju and Rishabh were sleeping in the same room. My mind was shocked. After that, on 17th November, I strangled both of them. They killed him and then filled him in a sack and threw him in the drain.
Thumb found where dead body was buried
During interrogation, Akhilesh told that Ritesh’s body was buried in Gopalpur of Kesariya police station area. When the police conducted an excavation there, the body was not found. Police have recovered some hair, nails and thumb from there. Police are now investigating whether the remains are of Ritesh or not.
