Regarding the incident, Meenapur police station in-charge cum inspector Santosh Kumar said that the incident happened around 8.50 pm on Thursday night, when the police team was getting ready to conduct the raid. Meanwhile, a PSI of the police station, Ritu Ranjan, had a bullet stuck in his service pistol while cleaning it in the residential premises of his police station. During this time, due to bad handling of his pistol, a bullet fired and hit his leg. As soon as the bullet was fired, the police forces present nearby reached the spot. Those policemen hurriedly took Ritu Ranjan to SKMCH Medical College, from where he was admitted to a private hospital. Currently, Ritu Ranjan is undergoing treatment in a private hospital. Currently, the condition of injured police SI Ritu Ranjan is normal and she is out of danger.
