In the press advertisement issued by Bihar Examination Board, it was told that under the Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) 2024 (First) conducted by Bihar School Examination Board, the examination conducted on 22nd May and 23rd May at all the four examination centers in Saran district. It has been postponed due to unavoidable reasons. Bihar School Examination Committee will publish the date of conduct of this examination later. The examination of all subjects of Paper-1 (Class 9-10) under STET, 2024 (First) is being conducted by the committee from May 18 to May 29 in various districts of the state.

Due to the dispute that arose after the departure of Rohini Acharya near the booth located at Bhikhari Chowk in Saran, firing took place on Tuesday morning, in which a youth was killed. Along with this, two people were seriously injured. After this incident, angry people started protesting demanding the arrest of the murderer. They say that BJP workers have opened fire. After voting on Monday, these people had misbehaved in front of Rohini Acharya, the Lok Sabha candidate from Saran Lok Sabha constituency. As soon as information about the incident was received, police from local and nearby police stations reached the spot and pacified the people by convincing them. Now, to prevent the matter from worsening further, the district administration of Saran has ordered immediate closure of internet service in the district till further orders.
