In Katihar, a youth killed a school teacher with a sharp weapon and burnt her with petrol. The incident took place in Lakshmipur Pakdiya village of Pranpur police station area. The deceased has been identified as Yashoda Devi (30). Regarding the incident, police say that the matter is of love affair.

Regarding the incident, Sadar DSP Abhijeet Kumar Singh says that Yashoda Devi was a teacher in Primary School Pakadia. Her husband Parmeshwar Rai worked in Delhi. He used to come home sometimes. Meanwhile, his wife Yashoda Devi had an affair with Halchal Kumar Rai, who lived in the neighborhood. He was currently doing small and big contracting works at the Panchayat level. Husband Parmeshwar Rai and his family members were also aware of this affair. There used to be disputes between the two regarding this. In this sequence, a panchayat was held in the month of February regarding the affair between Yashoda Devi and Halchal Kumar Rai. During the panchayat, there was a lot of debate between Parmeshwar Rai and Halchal Kumar Rai. Regarding this, Halchal Kumar wanted to take revenge from Parmeshwar Rai and his wife Yashoda Devi.

Locals also say that after the Panchayat, Yashoda Devi had stopped talking to Halchal. Yashoda was now refusing to meet and talk to Halchal Kumar. Angered by this, Halchal was looking for an opportunity to take revenge.
