The incident took place in Dhativna village of Thawe police station in Gopalganj district. The injured has been identified as Ajay Singh who is the brother of former Mukhiya of Dhativna Panchayat, Ashwini Singh.
According to the information, Ajay Singh, a resident of Dhativna village, was sitting on a chair outside his house on Tuesday morning. At that time, three criminals riding a bike shot Ajay Singh and easily escaped. The bullet hit Ajay Singh’s leg, he is undergoing treatment at Sadar Hospital.
Meanwhile, in this case, Sadar SDPO Pranjal said that the name of the victim is Ajay Singh. He is the brother of the former head of Thawe’s Dhativna Panchayat. Ajay Singh was shot by three criminals riding on a bike. The police is investigating whether the reason for the incident is personal enmity or something else.
Dhativna Panchayat of Thawe block of Gopalganj district has a long history of controversies. Two years ago, the newly elected Mukhiya Sukhal Musahar of this Panchayat was shot dead by criminals. In this murder case too, a case of electoral rivalry came to the fore. Then in the by-election held again, Sukhal Musahar’s family members occupied the post of Mukhiya of this Panchayat. Meanwhile, regarding the latest case, Sadar DSP Pranjal Tripathi formed an SIT and said that the police is continuously conducting raids to arrest the criminals. The police will soon solve the case.
