Buxar tops in Jal Jeevan Hariyali campaign

Buxar district has got the first position in the Jal Jeevan Hariyali Abhiyan of Bihar state. This achievement has been achieved in the month of September on the basis of progress achieved in various components under the campaign implemented by the Rural Development Department, Bihar. Under this campaign, which is one of the top priorities of the Chief Minister, Buxar District Magistrate Anshul Aggarwal is continuously monitoring the works.
Buxar district has done many important works under Jal Jeevan Hariyali. These include-
1. Renovation of water harvesting structures: Public water structures like ponds, ponds, ahars and ponds were identified and rebuilt after freeing them from encroachment.
2. Renovation of public wells and hand pumps: Soakage and recharge structures were constructed on their banks, so that water harvesting could be improved.
3. Construction of water harvesting structures: Check dams and water harvesting structures were constructed across small rivers, drains and hilly areas.
4. Rainwater harvesting: Rainwater harvesting structures were constructed on the roofs of buildings.
5. Solar Energy and Alternative Agriculture: Solar energy was encouraged, as well as the use of drip irrigation, organic farming and other new techniques.
6. Intensive plantation and nursery creation: Special priority was also given to creation of nurseries and intensive plantation, which would promote environmental protection.
DM Anshul Aggarwal has directed the concerned officials to make a plan to achieve 100 percent achievement in each component, so that the success of Jal Jeevan Hariyali Abhiyan continues. This success of Buxar district is an inspiration for other districts, which will prove helpful in carrying forward this campaign which is a priority of the state government.
