Devotees will no longer be able to enter the Mahabodhi temple in Bodh Gaya with mobile phones and cameras. The district administration has taken this decision keeping in mind the safety of the temple premises. DM Dr. Naksha Rajan SM has directed that all the devotees visiting the temple will have to submit their mobiles and cameras before entering. The Mahabodhi Temple is a very sacred site for Buddhist religious people, where millions of devotees and tourists come from abroad every year. Recently, security agencies issued an alert on the possible threat, after which this step has been taken. The administration believes that by banning mobile and camera, the security system can be tightened.
