The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Wednesday filed a supplementary charge sheet before a Delhi court in the alleged Railways land-for-jobs scam. That includes RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav and many members of his family.

The final report was filed before special judge Vishal Gogane against the three persons. The accused include two candidates Ashok Kumar and Babita and Bhola Yadav (who was Lalu Prasad’s personal secretary). The judge will consider on March 14 whether to take cognizance of the charge sheet or not.

According to the information, on February 28, the court had granted bail to former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi and her daughters Misa Bharti and Hema Yadav in the case. According to officials, Lalu Prasad Yadav was the Railway Minister from 2004 to 2009. During that time, Group-D appointments were made in the West Central Zone of Railways based in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. This matter is related to that. During that time, land parcels transferred in the name of the RJD supremo’s family or associates were allegedly gifted by the recruits.

The agency had registered a case on May 18, 2022, against Lalu Prasad Yadav and 15 others, including his wife Rabri, two daughters and unidentified public servants and private individuals.
