Bharatiya Janata Party has once again made Gopal Ji Thakur its candidate for the Lok Sabha elections 2024. Gopal Ji Thakur’s political journey started as an active member of BJP. Later, seeing his work, the party made him the District President of BJP. Then Gopal Ji Thakur won the Benipur Assembly elections for the first time in 2010 on BJP ticket. But he had to face defeat in the 2015 assembly elections. But Gopal ji Thakur remained continuously active in the programs of BJP, as a reward for which BJP canceled the ticket of MP Kirti Azad in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections and gave him the Lok Sabha ticket and made him contest the elections. He reached the Lok Sabha by defeating Rashtriya Janata Dal candidate Abdulbari Siddiqui in that election.
BJP has again trusted Gopal ji Thakur
Bharatiya Janata Party, while announcing the names of candidates for the Lok Sabha elections 2024 today, has made Gopal Ji Thakur its candidate for the second time from Darbhanga Lok Sabha. It may be noted that today itself Rashtriya Janata Dal had also announced its Darbhanga Lok Sabha candidate and made former minister Lalit Kumar its candidate. Experts say that this time’s Lok Sabha elections are likely to be very interesting.
