The body of an unidentified girl was found on the hill of Jethournath temple in Amarpur police station area of Banka on Wednesday. Police say that the girl was murdered by slitting her throat. Seeing the bare clothes on the dead body, the police also suspect that she was raped and murdered.
People grazing goats informed the police
Regarding the incident, police say that some people from nearby villages were grazing goats on the hill in front of Ghogha Beer in Jethore. Suddenly his eyes fell on the dead body of a semi-nude woman in the bush. The villagers informed about this in their village. As soon as the information about the dead body of the woman was received, people from nearby villages reached there. Local people informed the local police about the incident. As soon as the information was received, Police Station Head Pankaj Kumar Jha reached there with his team after giving information to his senior officers.
The dead body could not be identified
Police say that efforts were made to identify the body but none of the people present at the spot identified it. Police also say that the woman was murdered at some other place and the body was thrown in the hills of Jethore with the intention of hiding it.
There are scratch marks on the body
Police say that earrings and a scarf were found a short distance from the place where the body was found. Apart from this, no blood was found at the place where the body was found. The killers murdered the woman by slitting her throat and stuffing a cloth around her neck. There are scratch marks at many places on the body of the dead woman, which suggests that the body was dragged from another place and brought to the hill. Police said that looking at the condition of the body it seems that the murder was committed two-three days ago.
Police is expressing fear of murder after rape
As soon as information about the dead body was received, SDPO Vipin Bihari also reached the spot and investigated the matter. Seeing the condition of the deceased’s clothes, people are also suspecting that she was raped. The police have also asked the dog squad to investigate the murder. In this regard, SDPO Vipin Bihari said that the dead body of a woman with her throat slit has been found on Jethore mountain. At present the body has not been identified, efforts are being made to identify it. On the spot, the police conducted Panchnama of the body and sent it to Banka for post-mortem in police custody.
