The dead body of a married woman has been found in her in-laws’ house in Nalanda. The in-laws are calling it a suicide. Whereas the parents of the woman say that their 26-year-old daughter was killed for just one foot of land. The incident is of Haiderpur village under Telhara police station area. The deceased woman has been identified as Manju Kumari, wife of Tarun Bind. The parents of the woman are accusing the in-laws of murder by hanging in a land dispute. Late in the night, the family reached Bihar Sharif Sadar Hospital for the post-mortem of the body.
Ajit Bind, brother of the deceased, resident of Brahma Beldari Tola under Gaurichak police station area of Patna district, said that due to land dispute, brother-in-law and daughter-in-law used to beat them often. There was a dispute over just one foot of land. On Thursday, when the children went to study tuition, Manju Kumari was hanged to death due to this dispute. They came to know about the incident from the villagers, after which they reached sister’s in-laws’ house, where they saw that the in-laws’ family had fled from the house. Only the two children and the people around were present.
The husband works outside
The family alleged that the murder was committed by hanging to make it look like a suicide. It appears that this is not a murder but a suicide. The woman’s husband works in another state. He is returning home after getting information about the incident.
Police said- it seems to be a case of suicide
Telhara police station chief Jaiprakash Thakur said that prima facie the case appears to be a suicide. The door was locked from inside. The woman’s body was brought down by breaking it. After receiving information about the incident, the police immediately reached the spot and the FSL team was also called for investigation. After this, the body was taken into custody and sent to Bihar Sharif Sadar Hospital for postmortem. Further action will be taken on receipt of the application. At present, the police has started investigating the entire case closely.
