A woman was brutally murdered in Darbhanga. There were wounds on the wrist and marks on the neck. The parents allege that their in-laws killed their daughter for dowry. The vein on his left wrist was cut and his throat was also strangulated. The incident took place in Paithan Kabai village of Nehra assistant police station of the district. The news of the murder created a stir in the area. There was a crowd of people nearby.
Police said- waiting for post mortem report to come
Here, on the information received from the local people, the police reached the spot and recovered the dead body from his house. The deceased woman was identified as Mohd. of Paithan Kabai village. Mustafa’s daughter was Jamima Parveen alias Kanchan. OP in-charge Raj Kishore Rai said that the body has been sent for post-mortem. He said that further action will be taken after the post mortem report comes.
Police arrested husband and father-in-law
The parents of the parents say that just two years before the marriage, Mohd. of the village. She was married to Imran Khan, son of Gulab Khan. Both of them also have a one year old child. The local police took immediate action and arrested her husband Imran Khan and father-in-law Mo Gulab. In this regard, the deceased’s father Mustafa has applied to OP in-charge Raj Kishore Rai and his son-in-law Imran, Samadhi Mohd. Gulab Khan and Samadhin Kano Parveen have been accused of dowry death.

Shaheen Parveen, sister of the deceased woman, told that Shamim called and informed that Jamila’s health had become very bad. We got scared on this and when we reached her house, Jamila had died. He told that the vein of the left wrist of the deceased was cut and after seeing the black mark of compression on the neck, we informed Nehra OP. He told that Jamila got married one and a half years ago in 2022. Her husband Shamim Akram works in Kuwait. He told that we had given goods etc. in the marriage as per our status but Shamim was asking for Rs 10 lakh in cash. When we refused to give dowry, Shamim went to Kuwait after a month of marriage and kept calling from there demanding dowry. Meanwhile, when Jamila gave birth to a baby girl eight months ago, we thought that the issue of dowry would now come to an end. Then on January 17, when Shamim returned to the village from Kuwait, he asked for Rs 10 lakh and when she refused, he beat Jamila. He expressed apprehension that there was a fight over this and he was murdered.
