Bihar: ED has taken major action against Lalu Prasad Yadav and his close aides and seized property worth 68 crores. According to ED, they are accused of large scale irregularities in sand mining by Broadson Company in Bihar.

Enforcement Directorate keeps taking action in Bihar. During this time, ED has again taken major action against the close associates of Rashtriya Janata Dal President Lalu Prasad Yadav. ED has seized property worth about 68 crores of Subhash Yadav and Ashok Kumar, close to Lalu family. According to Enforcement Directorate, Subhash Yadav is already in jail on charges of sand smuggling and illegal earnings. Property worth crores of Subhash Yadav and Ashok Kumar associated with Broadsons Company involved in illegal sand trade has been seized. Enforcement Directorate has seized five properties of Subhash Yadav and Ashok Kumar in Dehradun, Ghaziabad of Uttar Pradesh and Patna.
The arrest was made in March
In this regard, ED says that Subhash Yadav is a former director of Broadson Company, while Ashok Kumar is the current director of this company. ED says that they are accused that Broadson Company has committed large-scale irregularities in sand mining from Bihar. Subhash Yadav is already in jail, who was arrested by ED in March 2024 in the case of sand smuggling and illegal earnings. The Enforcement Directorate raided various locations of Subhash Yadav on March 9, in which benami property was found along with two crore rupees in cash. After getting so much money, sand trader and Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Subhash Yadav was arrested.
