In Patna, criminals shot dead a farmer late on Saturday night. On Sunday morning, the police recovered the body of the farmer from the footpath along the canal via Ranipur Kurkuri village. Phulwari Sharif police station in-charge Safir Alam said that the deceased has been identified as Sukesh Kumar, 40, resident of Ranipur. The police is busy finding out the reasons for the incident.
Ward councilor told that Sukesh Kumar used to live in an old house in Ranipur of Phulwari Sharif police station, but just a few months ago he had built a new house in High Court Colony. He was living there since then. It is being told that Sukesh Kumar was having a dispute with his wife for the last several days.
Here, family member Himanshu Kumar told that Sukesh Kumar had become a drug addict. Told that due to drug addiction he used to have frequent disputes with his wife and children. Due to this, he had left his wife and was living alone for the last 10 days. When asked the reason for the incident, he refused to say anything in this matter at present.
Phulwari Sharif police station in-charge said that Sukesh Kumar was shot in the head by criminals. He told that he died on the spot. After the incident the criminals fled from there. The station in-charge said that the villagers are also being interrogated along with the CCTV cameras around the spot. After receiving information about the incident, a dog squad team has also been called to the spot. Further action is going on in the matter.
