In Patna’s Parsa Bazaar, a father strangled his minor daughter to death. The incident took place in Parsa Bazaar. The deceased has been identified as Tannu Kumari (14), daughter of Bunty Sharma, resident of Dariyapur Chandachak. People living nearby informed the police about the incident. As soon as the information about the incident was received, the police reached the spot and arrested the accused father.

The daughter was protesting against her father’s second marriage

Regarding the incident, Parsa Bazaar police station in-charge Maneka Rani said that the deceased’s mother Bina Devi has said in the application that her husband Bunty Sharma secretly married in Bhagalpur about a year ago. After knowing this, the family members started opposing it. In protest against this, the accused Bunty Sharma used to beat his wife Bina Devi and daughter Tannu as well as his son. This was going on for several months. Last night, i.e. on Thursday night, when Bunty Sharma came home, the dispute started again. In this dispute, he strangled Tannu to death.

The accused was taken hostage and then handed over to the police

Regarding the incident Parsa Bazaar police station in-charge Maneka Rani said that after the incident, the family members started screaming and shouting. Before the accused father could run away after committing the crime, the family members caught him and tied his hands and legs. As soon as the police got information about the incident, they reached the spot. As soon as the police reached, the family handed over the accused father and husband Bunty Sharma to the police. The police has sent the body to Patna’s Nalanda Medical College Hospital for post-mortem. Police station in-charge Maneka Rani said that the police has started investigating the case.
