An altercation broke out in the school between two teachers when they objected to their objectionable behavior. Within no time the matter escalated into a fight. Among the fighting teachers, one was employed, while the other was a BPSC teacher. In this incident, employed teacher Uday Mehta was injured, who was admitted to the hospital for treatment by other teachers. The matter pertains to Maharas Middle School of Banma Itahari block area of Saharsa district. Injured employed teacher Uday Mehta has filed a case against the accused BPSC teacher in the police station.

In relation to the incident, injured teacher Uday Kumar told that he is posted in Maharas Middle School of Banma Itahari block area. When he came out of the class room after teaching at 3 o’clock, teacher Vikas Bhagat was making reels on obscene videos. Seeing this, Uday Kumar opposed this action of Vikas Bhagat. On this matter, accused Vikas Bhagat came with a rod and hit him on the head while abusing him. Uday Kumar fell on the ground as soon as he was hit on the head. Seeing the fight between the two teachers, other teachers and staff of the school came running there and took the injured teacher Uday Kumar to the sub-divisional hospital and admitted him. He told that an application had also been given in the local police station regarding the matter.

In this case, District Education Officer Anil Kumar has suspended BPSC teacher Vikas Kumar Bhagat. It has been recommended to take disciplinary action against the injured employed teacher Uday Mehta. In the letter issued by the DEO office, DEO Anil Kumar has said that during school hours, two teachers had fought with each other, in which the head of one teacher, Uday Mehta, was injured. The headmaster in charge took the injured teacher to the hospital. This conduct of theirs is against the Bihar Government Servant Rules. Under the Bihar State Teacher (Appointment, Transfer, Disciplinary Proceedings and Service Conditions) Amendment Rules 2024, Rule 14, it is resolved to conduct departmental proceedings by suspending Vikas Kumar, School Teacher, Upgraded Higher Secondary School, Maharas Anchal Banma Ithari from the date of issue of the letter. . During the suspension period, his work has been fixed at Block Education Officer’s office, Mahishi. During the suspended period, only subsistence allowance will be paid to the suspended teacher Vikas Kumar Bhagat as per rules. Whereas the Block Planning Unit has been recommended for disciplinary action against Uday Kumar, a teacher who was injured in the fight.
