A fire suddenly broke out in a firecracker shop in Nalanda on the night of Diwali, causing chaos at the spot. The matter is of Amirganj market under Chhabilapur police station area. Due to the wisdom of the local people, a major accident was averted.

Actually, Guddu Miyan runs a vegetable shop located in Amirganj market. Due to Diwali, he had set up a firecracker shop in front of the shop. Meanwhile, on Thursday evening, there was a short circuit on the electric pole, the spark of which fell on the shop decorated with firecrackers below and within no time the firecrackers started exploding there. There was also a firecracker shop decorated nearby. Somehow, the people nearby secured their shops. At the same time, with the help of local people, the shopkeeper controlled the fire. There was an atmosphere of chaos for about half an hour.

It was fortunate that the fire was controlled in time, otherwise the possibility of a major accident could not have been ruled out. The shopkeeper has suffered a loss of property worth more than Rs 50 thousand. It is being told that a firecracker shop was set up illegally in front of the vegetable shop. Meanwhile, Chhabilapur Police Station President Murli Manohar Azad said that he has no information about this matter. The incident is being investigated.
