A gas cylinder suddenly caught fire while workers were cooking food on a chimney in Surwal village of Barauli police station area of ​​Gopalganj district. The workers tried to extinguish the fire, but it did not extinguish and the cylinder exploded. As soon as the cylinder burst, the gas spread rapidly in the air and 11 people were caught in the fire. There was panic in the area after the incident. There was a crowd of people nearby.

Local people immediately took 11 people, including two children, to Barauli Hospital for treatment. There, after first aid, Dr. Aftab Alam, seeing the situation as serious, referred him to Sadar Hospital. The owner of the brick kiln took him for treatment to a private hospital in Siwan instead of Sadar Hospital.

This happened while cooking

Eyewitnesses said that food was being cooked in a brick kiln. Some workers were sitting near him with a bonfire. In this explosion, the workers who were warming themselves were also caught in the fire and got burnt. There was a scream in the chimney due to the fire. Those who got burnt include Nitin Kumar, Ankit Kumar, Ajay Ram, Sushil Kumar, Sushil Singh and Pramila Devi etc. They were treated at the primary health centre. The remaining about half a dozen injured were treated at different places. In this case, Medical Officer in-charge Vinod Yadav said that everyone has been referred to Sadar Hospital in critical condition.
