Bihar Kesari Dr. Shri Krishna Singh, the first Chief Minister of Bihar, the creator of modern Bihar, may have been born in Maur village under Barbigha city area of Sheikhpura district, but he is recognized as a great warrior of the freedom struggle, a great thinker and a strong socialist leader. Not only Bihar but it had reached every corner of the country. Born in a farmer family, the tiled house of Dr. Shri Krishna Singh still reminds us of his simplicity, honesty and being a hard-working person. Although their descendants are living in high-rise luxurious buildings today, their memories still remain in Maur village. Whenever an outsider goes from Patna to Deoghar, he definitely takes a look at that tiled house of Maur village and remembers that Shri Babu, who was born in the same tiled house, was a leader from the Salt Satyagraha Movement to a social reformer and leader of modern Bihar. Had covered the distance to be a producer. Be it Barauni Sindri factory or Ranchi’s HEC factory, all are said to be the contribution of Shri Krishna Singh. People lovingly called him Sribabu.
