Lalit Narayan Mithila University always remains in the headlines for some issue or the other. The latest case is related to LMNU Registrar Dr. Ajay Kumar Pandit. He had taken leave from the university from October 30 to undergo treatment. To ensure that the work of the university is not affected, he handed over the charge to Prof. Gave it to Vijay Kumar Yadav. The report given by the Civil Surgeon was again reviewed by the Executive Registrar Prof. Yadav has sent a letter to the Civil Surgeon requesting the senior neuro surgeon of DMCH or PMCH to re-examine Dr. Pandit. Whereas in the letter sent to the Civil Surgeon, Acting Registrar Prof. Yadav has requested to seek the advice of a senior Neuro specialist at DMCH or PMCM especially in the light of the acute neurological illness reported by Dr. Pandit. According to the letter, Dr. Pandit’s physician, Dr. A. Kumar, has suggested that Dr. Ajay Kumar Pandit undergo an EEG test to detect brain activity, which is mentioned in his medical prescription dated November 5.

Executive Registrar again asked for investigation report

The acting registrar said that the report received from the Civil Surgeon’s office had not found a thorough medical examination of the facts. This investigation was based on the prescription and fitness report submitted by Dr. Pandit. The initial treatment at Medanta Hospital was not considered and Dr Pandit was found to be ill since November 5 instead of October 30, when he first reported the emergency and was treated. In the light of these facts, a request has been made to re-examine the medical condition of Dr. Pandit.

Dr. Ajay Kumar Pandit said that I have given my contribution to the university on 21st December. On the orders of Vice Chancellor Dr. Sanjay Kumar Choudhary, I appeared before the Medical Board with my health report and now a letter has been given to me for re-examination. I am attending university. I am completely healthy and will start work as soon as I get orders from the Vice Chancellor.

BJP MLA said – this is happening for the first time

On this entire matter, Senate member of Lalit Narayan Mithila University and BJP MLA Sanjay Saraogi said that according to the letter from Raj Bhavan, Dr. Pandit should have been given the charge as soon as he reached the headquarters. Efforts are being made to stop him from assuming charge by creating hurdles in his health checkup. This is happening for the first time in the history of the university. Earlier, Colonel Nishith Kumar Rai had to step down due to medical leave. But such an incident did not happen with him.
