Police arrested four people including a couple from near Station Chowk of Hajipur Nagar police station area of Vaishali on charges of forgery. Both of them are accused of cheating by posing as fake CID officers. All four would go out together and call themselves the CID team. A textile businessman was also extorted Rs 50,000 by threatening him. They were again demanding Rs 1.5 lakh. If he did not pay, he was even threatened with sending him to jail. But, in time the textile businessman became suspicious and informed Vaishali SP Har Kishore Rai about the matter. After this, on the instructions of the SP, Hajipur police station and DIU team arrested all four.
Police have recovered six mobile phones, identity card of Human Rights Crime Control Social Justice Council and four thousand rupees in cash from the arrested criminals. Hajipur police has taken this action on the information of a textile businessman. In this case, based on the written application of the textile businesses, the police registered an FIR against all four and sent them to jail. Police say that all of them pose as fake officers and extort money by threatening people. The police is trying to trace the gang in this case.

The victim is textile businessman Ajay Kumar, resident of Prophetpur Gorigama village of Moraul police station area. He is a textile businessman and runs a textile shop living in Micharchai Mandi located in Kachchi Pukki Indra Colony in Muzaffarpur. On March 11, at 1 pm, four people along with a woman came in a Bolero car and started calling themselves CID officers. After this, he showed the police ID card and said that some girl has complained against you for wrongdoing. After talking here and there for some time, a person called him to the side and said that if he gives two lakh rupees, he will end the whole matter. If I did not pay the money, I would be arrested and sent to jail, after which I gave Rs 50,000 out of fear. After taking the money, the four fake officers took the mobile number and went away talking about arranging the remaining Rs 1.5 lakh. By calling on Thursday, the said people asked to bring the money to Hajipur railway station. And, he threatened that if he did not bring the money, he would be arrested and sent to jail. When I became suspicious of these people, I sought help from the police.

As soon as the information was received, on the orders of the SP, DIU in-charge Sunil Kumar reached Station Chowk along with the police officer and the city police station, where he was arrested while trying to give money to the textile businessman. During interrogation, all four fake officers started talking to the police. When the police showed strictness, everyone accepted that they had cheated people by posing as fake officers. They have been identified as Rajesh Kumar Srivastava (42 years), father – Dayashankar Prasad, village – Vastu Vihar House No. 404, Hilalpur, police station – Industrial, Hajipur, Ranjan Chakraborty (42 years), father – Durgesh Chandra Chakraborty, village – Naval Ashram, Police station- Kadam Kuan, Dariyapur Patna, Kartikeya Raj (21 years), father- Vinay Kumar Sinha, village Bhikhana Pahari, Saidpur number two street, police station- Kadam Kuan, district- Patna and Hema Srivastava, (34 years), husband- Rajesh Kumar.
