33-year-old Manish Tiwari, resident of Tiwari Chafwa village of Bhore block of Gopalganj district of Bihar, had talked to his wife on phone last night on 15th December and promised to come home on 17th December, but this army deployed for the security of the country. The soldier and his family had no idea that he would reach home on the 17th, but not to meet his family for his last journey. On December 16, Manish Tiwari was martyred in a shootout with Naxalites in Rajour, Jammu and Kashmir.

Manish had joined the army in 2012, returned home with the dead body.

When Manish Tiwari’s mortal remains reached his native village on Tuesday, there was mourning everywhere. His family consists of an ailing mother, wife and 10-year-old elder and five-year-old younger son. Manish was the sole earner in his house. After his departure the family has lost that support.
