In Sitamarhi, an old man, who appeared to be a grandfather, has brutally assaulted a minor granddaughter. The incident took place in a village under Bajpatti police station area. As soon as information about the incident was received, the police started investigating the matter. Medical examination of that 8 year old girl has also been done. Taking prompt action, the police have arrested the accused, who is in the process of sending him to judicial custody.
Case registered on mother’s statement
The victim’s mother has lodged an FIR in the police station regarding the incident of rape of a minor innocent girl. In this, Rajiv Jha alias Vibha Jha, who appears to be his cousin and father-in-law, has been accused. The victim told the police that her cousin father-in-law, showing cruelty, called her daughter to the house by luring the girl with some item. He tricked the girl and called her into his house and raped her by force.
Had done similar thing four months ago also
After the incident, the victim came home screaming and informed her family about the incident. According to the plaintiff, the accused had tried to commit a similar act three-four months ago also. However, during this time no one understood anything and everyone reached there when the girl started crying. In this regard, Bajpatti police station incharge cum inspector Saroj Kumar said that the accused has been arrested. After medical examination of the girl, SI Vandana Kumari has been given the responsibility for further action.
