In Vaishali, Kaliyugi’s grandson killed his grandfather by stabbing him. The incident took place in Basudevpur Chandel village under Mahanar police station. The deceased was identified as retired teacher Shankar Singh, resident of Basudevpur Chandel. Police arrested the accused grandson Rohit Kumar.
Used to ask for money for liquor
Regarding the incident, family members say that retired teacher Shankar Singh has two sons. One son is in the army, while the other Prabhat Ranjan Singh runs a shop in Barh. Accused Rohit is his son. Family members say that accused Rohit often used to ask his grandfather Shankar Singh for money to drink alcohol. On Saturday, there was an argument between the grandfather and grandson over the same matter and during this, grandson Rohit Kumar attacked his grandfather Shankar with a knife, due to which Shankar Singh died. The villagers informed the police about the incident. As soon as information about the incident was received, the police reached the spot. Before the arrival of the police, the villagers caught the accused Rohit Kumar and handed him over to the police as soon as they arrived.
Local people were also worried
Local people told the police that the killer’s grandson had been asking for money from Shankar Singh for drinking alcohol. There was always an uproar in the house regarding this. Shankar Singh as well as the people around him were fed up with this action of the accused grandson. On receiving information about the incident, Karnauti OP President reached the spot and sent the body to Hajipur for post-mortem.
