There has been a stir in CM Nitish Kumar’s home district Nalanda after half-burnt bodies of a husband and wife were found on Monday morning. The family members are suspecting murder of both of them. It is being told that half-burnt bodies of 54-year-old Vijay Prasad and his 50-year-old wife Kanti Devi were found in Dogi village of Chhabilapur police station area. As soon as information about the incident was received, the local police and forensic team reached the spot. Vipin Kumar, son of the deceased, told that when he reached his parents’ house in the morning, he saw that the door was open and blood was flowing from the drain. When he went inside, he found his parents in flames.
Conspiracy to make the murder look like an accident
Eyewitness and local resident Rajendra Prasad said that a fallen electrical wire was found at the spot. Blood splatters were found in and around the room. The pillow of the bed on which the couple was sleeping had fallen down. The important fact is that the deceased Vijay Prasad was involved in bhajan-kirtan in the village temple till around 10 pm. Gloves have also been recovered near the spot. The leftover food from the night is still present on the roof of the house. Here, local people believe that the case appears suspicious. From the traces of blood scattered in the rooms and the condition of the incident site, it is suspected that the couple was first murdered and then an attempt was made to make the incident look like an accident by burning the dead bodies.
