During the shraddha ceremony at Lal Darwaza in the Kotwali police station area of Munger, 10 people including two children of a family fell victim to diarrhea. The family members first admitted all of them to a private hospital. Their condition did not improve. Then all the victims were brought to the Sadar Hospital. After this, seven people who had mild diarrhea recovered and went back to their homes while a young man has been admitted to the male ward and is undergoing treatment in a serious condition. Two children are undergoing treatment in the pediatric ward.

The condition of the two children and the young man undergoing treatment in the hospital is not improving. The family members are crying inconsolably. The family members have asked the doctor to organize a camp and get everyone’s health checked. Those who have fallen victim to diarrhea include some people from Bariyarpur, Lal Darwaza and Lakhisarai district. Seven people recovered and returned home
In the children’s ward, Bablu Kumar, a resident of Olipur village of Lakhisarai district, has his 12-year-old son Ayush Kumar and 3-year-old son Avinash Kumar. Besides this, in the men’s ward, Buddhan Sah, a resident of Bijainagar village of Bariyarpur police station area, has his 15-year-old son Sunil Kumar undergoing treatment. Munger’s in-charge civil surgeon Dr. Raman Kumar told that some people had come for treatment from Lal Darwaza, in whom symptoms of diarrhoea were found. In this, the health worker told that seven people recovered and went back home. Treatment of three is continuing. People should be cautious in the current weather; instead of eating stale food, eat hot food and drink boiled water.
