Ruckus on the road after the death of undertrial prisoner
An undertrial prisoner died under suspicious circumstances in Nalanda on Friday morning. The youth was lodged in Mandal Jail Bihar Sharif for the last three weeks. The deceased has been identified as Raju Kumar (19), son of Chhote Ram, resident of Naisarai of Nagar police station area. After the prisoner’s health deteriorated suddenly, he was brought to Sadar Hospital by the jail police and admitted. But, he died here. Here, in protest against the incident, angry people burnt tires on the road and started creating ruckus. People started blocking the police who reached the spot. Some policemen also got injured in this.

Lights will remain off for six hours in 21 areas
Due to project work, lights will remain off for six hours in 21 areas of Patna. There will be no electricity in Mitramandal Colony, Anand Vihar Colony, Hulas Vihar Phase One, Anisabad-Khagaul Road area till 10.30 am. There will be no electricity in Jaiprakash Nagar and Sipara areas from 11 am to 1 pm. There will be no electricity in Nasriganj Market Committee and Chitrakoot Nagar from 10 am to 5 pm.

Bihar News Live: Uproar in protest against prisoner’s death; Temperature in these districts crosses 40 degrees, heat like situation at many places
People have become troubled due to the heat waves in many districts of Bihar. In Buxar, Sheikhpura, Aurangabad, Banka, Bhojpur, Jiradei, Nawada, Dehri, Khagaria and Gopalganj, the temperature has gone above 40 degrees. There is heat like situation in Sheikhpura, Aurangabad and Banka in the first week of April. The scorching heat in Patna has troubled the people. Due to cessation of north-westerly wind and clear sky, there is heat wave like situation in many areas. According to meteorologists, the temperature may increase by two to three degrees.
