In Patna, an eccentric husband shot his wife by inserting a pistol in her mouth due to a family dispute. In this incident the wife died on the spot. After committing the incident, the killer husband fled from the spot. As soon as they heard the sound of the bullet, people nearby gathered at the spot. Local people informed this to Ramakrishna Nagar police station. After receiving the information, police of Ramakrishna Nagar police station reached the spot.
There used to be disputes between husband and wife.
Regarding the incident, police say that in the year 2015, Poonam Devi was married to Ganesh Rai, resident of Dhalwa village of Ramakrishna Nagar police station area. After marriage, Poonam Devi has a 7 year old son, Ankush Kumar and a 5 year old son, Aryan Kumar. Family members allege that after marriage, Ganesh Rai used to fight and assault his wife. Poonam was very upset due to repeated assaults. The family members also tried to pacify Ganesh Rai, but despite this he continued to torture his wife.
Shot in a family dispute
The relatives of the deceased say that on Tuesday morning they received information that Ganesh Rai had shot his wife dead. When the family members reached Poonam Devi’s in-laws house, her dead body was lying on the bed. Family members allege that due to a family dispute, Ganesh Rai shot and killed his wife Poonam Devi. After the incident, the family members have registered a case against Ganesh Rai at Ramakrishna Nagar police station for murder of his wife.
Police engaged in investigation
The police have taken the body of the deceased in their custody and sent it to Nalanda Medical College Hospital for post-mortem. Police has started investigating the matter. Giving information about the incident, Ramakrishna Nagar police station in-charge said that the reason for the murder could be a family dispute, investigation is being done.
