Notification issued to promote a total of eight IAS officers, including two Indian Administrative Service officers posted in Patna, to the level of Joint Secretary. Sub-divisional officers of Patna Sadar and Patna City are also in the list.

Among the IAS officers who were promoted from Sub-Divisional Officer to the level of Joint Secretary are Sub-Divisional Officer of Motihari Sadar Shrestha Anupam, Sub-Divisional Officer of Bihar Sharif of Nalanda District Abhishek Palasia, Sub-Divisional Officer of West Champaran, Bagaha Dr. Anupama Singh, Sub-Divisional Officer of Darbhanga Pradeep Singh, Sonpur sub-divisional officer of Saran district Kumar Nishant Vivek, Patna Sadar sub-divisional officer Shrikant Kundlik Khandekar and Patna City sub-divisional officer Gunjan Singh are included. Earlier eight IAS officers was promoted to
Earlier, Nitish Kumar’s government had promoted eight officers of the 2015 batch of the Indian Administrative Service to the junior administrative grade (Additional Secretary level). That promoted list included eight officers from five districts: Patna, Saran, Sitamarhi, Kaimur, Shekhpura and Kishanganj.
Among those who got promotion were five collectors and district officers.
Among the eight officials promoted to Additional Secretary level, five were DMs. Sitamarhi Collector and District Officer Manish Kumar Meena, Shekhpura District Collector and District Officer J. Priyadarshini, Kishanganj Collector and District Officer Tushar Singla, Saran Collector and District Officer Aman Sameer and Kaimur District Collector and District Officer Sawan Kumar were promoted. Apart from the DM, other officials were among the eight officials who were promoted to the Additional Secretary level. Also present was Suharsh Bhagat, Additional Working Executive Director of the State Health Committee, Prashant Kumar CH, Director of Social Welfare and Sajjan R, Joint Secretary of the Education Department.
