The ED has obtained many evidences related to corruption and disproportionate assets against IAS Sanjeev Hans. For this, Sanjeev Hans has been suspended. Accused IAS officers Sanjeev Hans and Gulab Yadav had filed a criminal writ petition in Patna High Court to quash the FIR lodged in Rupaspur police station. The petition filed by IAS officer Sanjeev Hans was heard in the month of June. During the hearing, the advocate on behalf of the victim woman had filed a petition under CrPC 340, so the court had reserved the decision on that day. The government’s eyes were fixed on the High Court, so considering the seriousness of the case, the government removed Sanjeev Hans from his post even before the decision came, taking away all his rights.

When Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s Mahagathbandhan government was formed for the first time in Bihar with Tejashwi Yadav, Gulab Yadav was an MLA from Lalu Prasad Yadav’s party Rashtriya Janata Dal. A woman advocate from Aurangabad had lodged a case of gang rape in Patna’s Rupaspur police station accusing 53-year-old Gulab Yadav, 48-year-old Sanjeev Hans and Gulab Yadav’s servant Lalit of cheating and conspiracy and threatening to kill her and committing rape and gang rape. The woman said that Gulab Yadav had raped her by calling her to Patna on the pretext of making her a member of the State Women’s Commission. According to the woman advocate, when she talked to the police, Gulab Yadav put sindoor in her maang by luring her with marriage. When Gulab Yadav did not give social recognition to this relationship for a long time, she again deceived him by talking to him. This time, Gulab Yadav called her to a hotel in another state and established a relationship with her again. This time, along with Gulab Yadav, the woman also had a relationship with IAS Sanjeev Hans. The woman alleged that Sanjeev Hans also raped her there. During this, a video of the rape was made and abortion was forced by threatening to make it viral. Patna Police investigated and confirmed the allegation. Patna SSP Rajiv Mishra gave a report on 17 April 2023, in which he also agreed with the report of the City SP and confirmed the allegations of gang rape.

When the woman threatened to lodge an FIR, to keep her mouth shut and change her statement, both of them transferred Rs 90 lakh to the bank and also gifted her a luxury car. When the police investigation revealed the issue of money transactions, then ED entered the case. As soon as ED entered, raids started at Sanjeev Hans’s hideouts. Then he was also questioned. Overall, the evidence of all the crimes started gathering at one place. ED also got the documents of IAS officer Sanjeev Hans benefiting companies while holding government posts and money transactions in return for this. Now ED has all the evidence and the government has also taken away all the posts and rights of IAS officer Sanjeev Hans from him.
