Prostitution business was going on in the alleged Rani Bihar Hotel of a big political face in Purnia. The police raid exposed the prostitution business flourishing in the hotel. There was chaos in the hotel as soon as the police read the date. Police have arrested three people including a female spy in this raid. These include two customers including the hotel manager. The police have detained five girls involved in prostitution and are interrogating them in the women’s police station.
The lady supplier would contact the customer in the line market, the matter would be settled for Rs 1500 to 3000 thousand and as soon as the payment was made, the customer would be given the address of the hotel. The girls of the female supplier used to do prostitution business here. While raiding Line Bazaar of Assistant Treasurer police station area of the city, the police identified Mamta Devi (45), wife of Debu Paswan, resident of Nayatola of Rambagh of Sadar police station area. Also, while raiding the hotel, the police arrested the hotel manager Sanjay Mandal (42) and two customers Bhajan Kumar (20), Sarvan Sahni (34).
There would be a gathering of business women
Local people said that after 6 pm, a gathering of some business women starts in front of Line Bazaar Purnia Medical College Hospital. From there, people used to take businessmen to hotels etc. After the arrest by the police, there has been a stir among the people doing such business in the city.
Three businessmen are being interrogated
SP Karthikeya Sharma said that the girls and people detained in the raid are being interrogated. It has been told that prostitution business was going on in the hotel which was raided by the police. The police have also detained the hotel manager and are interrogating him. On the complaint of the local people, the police have detained and interrogated three female businessmen in front of the Red Cross located at Linebazar.
