The cabinet meeting was held on Friday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. In this meeting held in the Secretariat, CM Nitish Kumar approved 48 proposals including many important proposals. Creation of 541 new posts in Bihar Engineering and Polytechnic Colleges was also approved by CM Nitish Kumar. The Bihar government informed that a total of 338 academic posts (Professor-28, Associate Professor 71 and Assistant Professor -239) were approved for the Computer Science and Engineering course in 34 government engineering colleges run under the Department of Science, Technology and Technical Education and a total of 203 academic posts (Head of Department-04 and Lecturer-199) were approved for the Civil Engineering course in 31 government polytechnics and government women’s polytechnic institutes.

Approval of proposal to develop new industrial areas in 31 districts

For the development of industries in the state, CM Nitish Kumar has approved the proposal to develop new industrial areas in 31 districts. A total of 9 clusters and 84 industrial areas and development centers have been established by Bihar Industrial Development Authority in an area of ​​7592.39 acres. Out of these, only 1861.03 acres of land is left for allocation, which is less according to the increasing industrialization. Under the Department of Industries, M/s Panchkanya Foods Private Limited, Sikanderpur Industrial Area, Bihta, Patna was granted financial incentive clearance in the light of Rule-7 (2) (iv) of Bihar Industrial Investment Promotion Rules-2016.

1032.81 lakh rupees to arrange 400 buses in these cities

On the other hand, the Bihar government, under the Transport Department, approved an amount of Rs. 73.20 crore (seventy three crore twenty lakh rupees) for the purchase of new buses for the Bihar State Road Transport Corporation from the amount received from the Government of India to provide easy and smooth transport facilities to the common citizens in the state of Bihar. Under the Transport Department itself, a budget of Rs. 1032.81 lakh was approved for the arrangement of a total of 400 buses for the following major cities of Bihar, namely Patna, Muzaffarpur, Gaya, Bhagalpur, Darbhanga and Purnia. Here, under the Panchayati Raj Department, approval was given for the formation of “Panchayati Raj Engineering Organization” at the headquarters level and creation of 4 technical and 02 non-technical posts.
