The news of a bomb being found at the capital Patna Junction created a sensation. As soon as information was received about a bomb on platform number 8, the team of RPF, GRP as well as the bomb squad reached the station and thoroughly investigated the entire platform. As soon as the police team reached the platform, the first thing they sealed was platform number eight. Patna Police officers and GRP along with the Bomb Squad team investigated the entire platform.

Bomb information turned out to be a rumor
In this regard, Law and Order Kotwali DSP Krishna Murari Prasad said that the initial information was received by the GRP police station that a bomb was kept under the engine standing on platform number 8. As soon as the information was received, the team of Eastern SP, Kotwali DSP, RPF, GRP police station and bomb squad reached the spot. During this period, platform number 8 was evacuated first. Then immediately investigation started from every level. During investigation, a children’s playing ball in the shape of a bomb was recovered. It seems that some mischievous child had wrapped the ball with a rope and thrown it under the engine. Although many times before this there were rumors about the junction being bombed and there being a bomb at the junction, but such information has always been proved wrong.
People remained worried for an hour
The information about a bomb on the platform had created a situation of fear not only in the police administration but also among the passengers gathered near the platform and Patna Junction. Passengers were also surprised to see a large number of policemen and bomb disposal squad suddenly gathered on the platform and junction. On enquiry, it was found that someone had called and informed about a bomb on platform number 8. Hearing this, the passengers started running out of the junction and platform with their belongings. The investigation continued on the platform for about an hour and then the investigation team and passengers heaved a sigh of relief.
