In Madhubani, a speeding bus going from Siliguri to Gaya lost control and fell into a pit 20 feet below NH 57. There was chaos as soon as the bus fell. A person from Gujarat has died in the incident. Around 35 people traveling in the bus were injured. The condition of four of them remains critical. DMCH Darbhanga has been referred after first aid. The incident took place near Kisni Patti on NH 57 under Phulparas police station area.

Here, as soon as the information about the incident was received, the police reached the spot and took the dead body into custody and sent it to Sadar Hospital Madhubani for postmortem. While the injured were admitted to Sub-Divisional Hospital Phulparas. The deceased has been identified as Hansa Ben (59), a resident of Gujarat. Injured Abhishek Ranga has been referred for better treatment. He has been identified as Rekha Sadhvi Vipul, Giri Nilawe, Amit Bhai Arvind Meena, Amit Kumar Patel, Diksha Patel of Baroda.

The bus left from Vadodara on 25 April

On April 25, the bus carrying pilgrims from Vadodara district of Gujarat state to Jagannath Puri in Orissa, Kolkata via Gangasagar reached Siliguri on Saturday late evening. Today the bus left from Siliguri for Gaya district of Bihar. Meanwhile, near the power grid on NH 57, it fell about 20 feet below the road. Police say that the relatives of the deceased have been informed over the phone. The injured are being treated. Information is being taken from some people. Further action is going on in the matter.
