Many fake things are being sold in the market. Now, seeing the fake gold, the jewelery shop owners (goldsmiths) also got fooled, lest you too fall into this trap. So be careful. A similar case has been seen in Akbarpur police station area of Nawada district of Bihar. Where the police has exposed an interstate gang involved in counterfeit gold. The police have arrested five members of the gang and also recovered real and fake gold from them.
According to the information, the police have arrested all the thugs from the tempo stand located in Pati village of Akbarpur police station area. All the thugs caught by the police are residents of Jajpur, Odisha. These thugs have been identified as Rajkumar Podan, Tinku Podan, Trilokiya Jana, Suman Podan and Chandro Munda, residents of Dashmaniya village of Kolingnagar police station area. Police have recovered five grams of real gold dust and 909 grams of fake gold dust from these thugs. All these thugs used to roam around in different areas of Bihar and take the gold and silver shopkeepers into confidence by first showing them the real gold. Then later they used to commit fraud by giving fake gold dust.
In fact, on May 19, two people from Odisha had sold fake gold dust in a jewelery shop, claiming it to be genuine. When this fraud was discovered, the police formed a SIT to investigate. After that the investigation team conducted a thorough inspection of the incident site. Then two persons from Odisha were taken into custody and interrogated. When the police searched both of them, five grams of real gold sawdust and 500 grams of fake gold sawdust were recovered from them. After that the police interrogated both of them and sent them to jail.
