A fire broke out under the engine of Danapur Bhagalpur Intercity Express train at Dharhara railway station in Munger. This created panic among the passengers. However, upon sensing the fire, the loco pilot posted on the engine immediately stopped the train and informed the Railways. The team soon brought the fire under control. Due to this, the train remained standing at Dharhara station for about one and a quarter hour.

According to the Railways, when the train started leaving from Dharhara station, suddenly flames started coming out from near the engine. As soon as the fire was detected, the fire was brought under control using the fire extinguisher present in the engine. In this way a major incident was avoided. After this, after repairing the engine, the train was opened for the next station Jamalpur. At present the fire has been brought under control. There is no news of any casualty in this. The cause of the fire is being investigated.
