These days, during the world famous Pitru Paksha fair, lakhs of pilgrims from India and abroad are coming to Gaya and performing Pinddaan and Shraddha Karma for the peace of the souls of their ancestors. During this time, the district administration and Gaya police are making every possible effort to improve the image of Gaya. At the same time, a shameful incident also took place. A young man molested a female pilgrim. The incident took place near Sitakund Bhadeji village located in Mufassil police station area. However, with the help of people gathered at the spot, the police arrested the accused.
A young man started molesting a female pilgrim
Regarding the incident, the police said that a group of pilgrims from Vidisha in Madhya Pradesh state was staying in Arjun Guest House located near Sitakund Bhadeji village in Mufassil police station area. Late on Monday night, a female pilgrim of the group was cooking food. Meanwhile, a youth in a drunken state came and started molesting the female pilgrim. When the victim started shouting, people from the surrounding area gathered there. Then other pilgrims of the group caught the accused youth. But the owner of the said guest house and other people rescued the accused youth from the clutches of the pilgrims.
The police arrested the accused
After the incident, the pilgrims complained about it. The police of Mufassil police station got information about the incident. On receiving information about the incident, the police of the police station reached the spot and arrested the accused youth. The arrested youth was identified as Satendra Yadav, a resident of Simrawa village under Tikari police station of Gaya district. At present, the aggrieved pilgrims have not filed a written complaint against the accused. But the police has started further action at its level.
