In Muzaffarpur, a jackal attacked and injured two people. The injured include a woman and a man, who have been admitted to SKMCH Medical College for treatment. The incident took place near Nazirpur Sheikhpura dam in Ahiyapur police station area. The jackal attack has created panic among the villagers. The injured have been identified as Devtia Devi (52) and Mukesh Rai (32).
Suddenly a jackal entered the house
Regarding the incident, the villagers say that Devtia Devi was sleeping in her house in Nazarpur in the evening. Suddenly a jackal entered the house and attacked her. In this attack, the jackal scratched her hand, in which Devtia Devi was seriously injured. Hearing the woman’s screams, the people nearby rushed there but by then the jackal had fled from there. In a hurry, people admitted the woman in a critical condition to SKMCH, where she is undergoing treatment. Mukesh Kumar Rai was going to the field in the evening to defecate. Then the jackal attacked him, in which Mukesh Kumar Rai was injured.
More than two and a half dozen people have been injured so far
More than two and a half dozen people have been injured in jackal attacks in several villages of Kudhni block area in the last two weeks. Three jackals have died so far. It is not clear how many jackals are attacking. The forest department team is continuously doing rescue operations to catch jackals, but till now the department has not been successful in catching any jackal. At present, this incident has created a situation of panic among the villagers.
