Expansion
Dr. Jagdish Prasad, who came into limelight by receiving the Padma Shri award from the Government of India in 1991 at the age of just 36 for his excellent service, is once again in the headlines. The reason is his entry into the electoral fray. Padmashree Dr. Jagdish Prasad, the country’s well-known cardiologist and Director General of the Health Department, who formed his own party (Democratic Social Justice Party) last year, filed nomination papers from Jamui Lok Sabha seat. Dr. Jagdish Prasad says that he has entered the election field to perform surgery on the corruption prevalent in Bihar. The people of Jamui have given him their blessings. People want to root out corruption.
Education and health system completely collapsed
Dr. Jagdish Prasad says that the education and health system of Bihar has completely collapsed in the last thirty years. The crime graph in the state is continuously increasing. The general public is troubled by corruption and inflation. In Bihar, bridges and roads are being constructed with the cement rods of corruption, which are collapsing as soon as they are built. The Aguani Ganga bridge has collapsed twice and a portion of the Bakour bridge in Supaul has collapsed once. There are many such bridges which became dilapidated within a few years of their construction. Dr. Jagdish Prasad alleged that corruption is rampant under government patronage. A poor person is being deprived of getting justice because he does not have money.
