Then when I got information from the media that Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself has made this announcement, then what can I say…”- Ramnath Thakur’s throat choked with joy. Ramnath Thakur is a politician who has achieved a position himself along with the son of Jannayak Karpuri Thakur. He is also the national general secretary of the ruling Janata Dal United in Bihar and a Rajya Sabha MP of the party. But, when it came to his father and the highest honor of the country, his happiness could be gauged from his words. He was speaking every line in happiness.

He says – “36 years of waiting is a lot. But, everyone’s time comes. It may be late, but it is better. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made us happy by announcing this on the eve of Babuji’s 100th birth anniversary. I I don’t just want to say thank you on my own behalf. I want to express my gratitude to the Government of India on behalf of all the people of Bihar. On behalf of the socialists across the country, I thank you for this. Socialism has been established through this honour. Every Bihari expresses its gratitude to the Government of India for finally honoring its leader and giving due respect to the Government of India.”
From the time you wake up till the morning – this is all I can say
Ramnath says – “As the son of Jananayak Karpuri Thakur, I can say today that I am feeling like ‘When you wake up, it’s morning’. We have tried to move away from the values that he lived by when he left this world. Didn’t. Whatever he got, he got from his fame. His name didn’t and doesn’t need any recognition, but this honor was awaited for 36 years. So, this is a dawn.”
