Bihar: Mahayogi Pilot Baba died during treatment today. He breathed his last at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai.

Mahayogi Pilot Baba breathed his last on Tuesday at the age of 86. He was admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai after his health deteriorated, where he died during treatment. His ashram is in Gethiya village under Bhimtal block of Nainital district of Uttarakhand, but Pilot Baba established Pilot Baba Dham in Sasaram and gave Sasaram a new identity across the country. Pilot Baba’s body will be brought to the ashram in Haridwar by a special plane tonight. Tomorrow his body will be kept in Pilot Baba’s ashram in Haridwar for the common people to see. On hearing the news of Pilot Baba’s death, a condolence meeting was organized at Pilot Baba Ashram in Sasaram, Rohtas. In this condolence meeting, many public representatives and social workers of Rohtas district paid emotional tribute to him by observing two minutes of silence.

Pilot Baba was originally from Baraon village of Sasaram, the district headquarters of Rohtas district and his real name was Mahayogi Kapil Advait Samnath Giri. He was suffering from kidney disease. There is also a government school in his village named after him. Pilot Baba was also a pilot while being a wing commander in the Indian Air Force. He had also fought wars with Pakistan and China. Pilot Baba’s plane crashed while fighting the war with China. After this, Pilot Baba remained buried under snow for several months and kept himself alive with the help of Samadhi. From that time onwards, he got the title of Samadhi Baba.
