Four members of a family died in a horrific road accident in Patna’s Bakhtiyarpur on Tuesday morning. The condition of six people is critical. The incident took place on the Bakhtiyarpur-Biharsharif highway. It is being told that today a family from Hamidpur Bara of Nawada district was going to Badh Umanath temple in a Scorpio for tonsure. A speeding vehicle hit the Scorpio near the Mansarovar Petrol Pump in Bakhtiyarpur police station area. The collision was so severe that four people in the Scorpio died on the spot.
All the deceased were from the same family
After the incident, there was a commotion in the area. People from the surrounding area gathered. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and started investigating. The police took the injured out of the Scorpio and admitted them to the hospital for treatment. The bodies of the deceased were taken into custody and sent for post-mortem. DSP 2 Abhishek Singh of Barh subdivision said that four people of the same family are reported to have died in the road accident. Information has been sent to the families of the deceased. All the people are said to be from Hamidpur Bara village of Nawada district.
