Bihar: A major boat accident has taken place in Bihar, in which about 6 people on the boat are missing. In this incident, two people have been burnt due to coming in contact with an electric pole, who are being treated in the hospital.

Late in the evening, a boat carrying passengers overturned in the flood waters after coming in contact with a high tension electric wire. This boat was carrying local people from near the power house in Jaitia of Sonpur to Baburbaani of Gangajal Panchayat.
The boat overturned because of this
Villagers say that due to the high water level and the high tension wire being bent, the head of two persons on the boat touched the wire. After this, current started flowing in the entire boat. Meanwhile, there was screaming among the people on the boat. Due to the sudden chaos in the boat, the boat capsized in the river. In this incident, Baburbani college employee Bhushan Rai and railway employee Kameshwar Rai got badly burnt. Local people admitted them to the sub-divisional hospital of Sonpur for treatment. As soon as the information of the incident was received, the SDRF team along with Sonpur police also reached the spot and started relief work.
