A woman has committed suicide in Muzaffarpur. The reason was that she wanted to go to her maternal home to tie Rakhi to her brother. But, her husband refused. There was a dispute between the two regarding this matter and after this she committed suicide. However, her maternal family is calling it murder. They allege that the in-laws have committed this crime and now to save themselves, they are talking about suicide. The incident is being reported from Aurai police station area of the district.
She started insisting on going to her mother’s house
After the incident, there was a stir in the area. A crowd of people gathered around. Here, as soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and started investigating. The deceased woman has been identified as 26-year-old Neelu Devi. She was married to Pappu Majhi in the year 2021. The in-laws say that Neelu Devi started insisting on going to her maternal home on Rakshabandhan. But, the husband refused. There was a dispute between the two regarding this matter. After this, Neelu Devi committed suicide at her home by making a noose of her dupatta around her neck.
