In Malahi in Motihari, a woman not only consumed poison herself but also fed poison to her three daughters. The woman and her two daughters died during treatment. One remains in critical condition and has been referred to Bettiah for treatment. The reason for the incident is said to be a dispute between husband and wife.
This incident is from Mamrakha village of Malahi police station. On receiving the information, Malahi police reached the spot and is investigating the matter. Police have identified the dead woman and her dead daughter as Bhola Ram’s 33 year old wife Sugavati Devi, 5 year old Pari Kumari and 7 year old Jwala Kumari. In this incident, his 13 year old daughter Ujala Kumari was also poisoned by her mother and she is undergoing treatment in Bettiah in critical condition. After this incident, there is an atmosphere of chaos in Mamrakha village. Various kinds of discussions and rumours are rife among the people.
The local Malahi police is investigating the reasons behind the incident. Many people are saying many things. It is said that after returning from the field, Bhola Ram had a fight with his wife Sugavati Devi over some issue. They used to have fights every day. Sugavati Devi was also very upset due to this. The financial condition of their house is also very poor. There was a dispute between the husband and wife and after this, as soon as Bhola Ram came out of the house, his wife Sugavati Devi not only ate the pesticide kept in the house herself but also fed it to her two daughters. The police have sent the bodies of Sugavati Devi, Jwala Kumari and Pari Kumari to Motihari for post-mortem. The Malahi police station in-charge said that after the post-mortem, the real reasons for their death will be revealed.
