In Samastipur, a mother brutally murdered her eight-year-old daughter and then threw her in a bush. The incident took place in Lali Karua village of Khanpur police station area. The deceased was Priya Kumari (8), daughter of Bharat Rai. Due to the promptness of the villagers, the police recovered the body and also took the accused mother Sarita Devi into custody.
Because of this the daughter’s life was taken away
Regarding the incident, the villagers say that two days ago, Priya had seen the wrong behavior of her mother Sarita Devi. Now there was a fear of revealing the matter, so Sarita Devi attacked him with the Hasuwa kept in the house, bleeding him and then strangulated him to death. To hide the matter, he packed Priya’s body in a sack and threw it near Chhalki Peer Baba place located on the main road from Khanpur to Araut Mushari. After the incident, while disposing of the dead body, a villager’s eyes fell on it. After this the people of the village started inquiring about Priya. During interrogation by the villagers, Sarita Devi told that her daughter had gone to her maternal home but the villagers did not believe her and on the basis of suspicion the villagers informed the police.
The matter came to light in front of the strictness of the police
With the help of villagers, the police took the accused woman into custody. During interrogation by the police, the accused Sarita Devi kept changing her statement but when the police took strict action, she confessed to Priya’s murder. Then he also told the address of the dead body. On the information of accused Sarita Devi, the police recovered the dead body.
Villagers got angry after finding dead body
As soon as the dead body was found, the villagers got enraged and started demanding punishment to the accused Sarita Devi at the spot itself. However, the police took him under their protection and went to Khanpur police station. Sarita Devi is being interrogated at Khanpur police station. It has been told that the woman’s husband was also not there at that time.
The woman is the mother of four children
Villagers say that accused Sarita’s husband lives outside Bihar to earn. He has four children, apart from two daughters, he also has two sons. Deceased Priya was the second child. Priya has two brothers younger than her. The villagers allege that the accused Sarita Devi lives in a hut four kilometers away from her original house. There she lives as per her wish, where other people keep coming and going.
The accused woman is changing her statement again and again
Regarding the incident, SP Sanjay Pandey said that on the behest of the woman, the police recovered the body from the bush. The body has been sent to Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. The woman is being interrogated. SP said that the woman is changing her statement again and again. The matter will be revealed soon.
