On December 24, armed Naxalites abducted Munshi Shahnawaz Khan, who was engaged in bridge construction in Gaya. The Naxalites had gone to the forest with Munshi Shahnawaz Khan along with two other labourers. During this time, the Naxalites left two workers engaged in the construction of the bridge. After that the Naxalites demanded a levy of Rs 30 lakh in exchange for the release of Munshi Shahnawaz Khan. After the information about the kidnapping, a search operation was conducted in the forests around Lutua police station area in collaboration with Bihar Police, CRPF, Cobra Battalion and other security agencies, but even after 3 days, the kidnapped Munshi could not be recovered. Therefore, the administration is now appealing to the villagers for cooperation. A reward has been declared in relation to Munshi or the accused Naxalite Vivek. A reward of Rs 3 lakh has been announced on Naxalite Vivek Yadav alias Sunil Yadav alias Karu Yadav alias Brett Ji alias Rajendra Yadav alias Booty Yadav.

Senior SP Ashish Bharti says that a reward of Rs 3 lakh has been declared on Naxalite Vivek Yadav alias Sunil Yadav alias Karu Yadav alias Brett G alias Rajendra Yadav alias Booty Yadav involved in the kidnapping case. Whoever gives information about Naxalite Vivek Yadav, that person will be given a reward of Rs 3 lakh. Also, a reward of Rs 25,000 will be given to anyone giving information about kidnapped Munshi Shahnawaz Khan. He told that the name of the person giving information will be kept secret.
