A one year old newborn girl, who went missing nine days ago, has been recovered from the drain located in front of the house in Balughat locality of University police station area of Darbhanga. As soon as the body was recovered from the drain, a sensation spread in the area and people from the entire locality gathered within no time. Let us tell you that father Chandan Yadav had filed an application in the University Police Station regarding the disappearance of this girl. Kapildev Prasad, a resident of Jhanjharpur in Madhubani district, and Anita Devi, a resident of the locality, had lodged an FIR in the police station, raising suspicion. After the dead body was found, the family members have accused the police of negligence. University police reached the spot, seized the body and sent it to DMCH for post-mortem.
Family members said – Police could not take any action in nine days
The girl’s father Chandan Yadav told that while informing the police about the girl’s disappearance, we had raised suspicion on two people. But, the police has not taken any action in this matter in the last nine days. If action had been taken my daughter would not have died. The drain from which the girl’s body was recovered. It is in front of his house and the drain is cleaned daily by the municipal corporation’s sanitation workers. The body was not found in the last eight days and in the morning when the drain was being cleaned, the sanitation workers saw the dead body of the girl. It is felt by looking at the dead body. The girl was murdered somewhere else and her body was thrown into the drain in front of my house.
Accused of having an illicit relationship, beaten up
University Police Station Head Madan Prasad told that Kapil Sharma is at his in-laws house in Shubhankarpur police station area where he used to come to meet Anita Sharma. Local people say that there used to be talks with Anita Sharma’s husband regarding business. During this time, Chandan Yadav had beaten up Anita Sharma because she suspected that she had some wrong relationship with Kapil Prasad. On this basis, he has accused Anita Sharma and Kapil Prasad of killing the girl and throwing the body.
Police is investigating the mobile location of the accused
City SP Sagar Kumar has said that the mobile locations of both the accused are being investigated in the case of recovery of the body of a girl who had been missing since January 1. Besides, instructions have been given to the police station chief for technical research in this matter. If the allegations are found true in the investigation, strict action will be taken against the culprits.
